Micro-businesses
Involvement in a micro-business - an enterprise having few employees and requiring little start up money - allows a person who can not work a traditional 9-to-5 shift 5 days a week to have meaningful work and to generate an income. The Whitecrow Village micro-business program encompasses potential and existing micro-businesses including:
While not every micro-business exploration or venture results in full time employment, the aggregate of these experiences gives the Whitecrow Village team more positive work experiences and skills, and shows potential employers the possibilities and the ways to attain the employee performance they require. By matching the interests and talents of our team with the incredible work ethic that they have demonstrated, micro-businesses are yet another avenue through which we can effect positive change, not only for adults with FASD but for society as a whole.
**Please note: We are currently seeking skilled trades people and other professionals who are willing to train Whitecrow Village team members and who are able to act as mentors in the devlopment of micro-businesses and other employment initiatives.
